The second of two hand made ‘52-T Blackguards by U.K. Builder Michael Bowes! This one (#1095) features a lightweight 2pc swamp ash body with a paper thin nitrocellulose butterscotch finish, a 2pc slab sawn maple neck with my vintage chunky C profile (0.890”), 6105 frets, and a 9.5” board with heavily rolled and played in edges. Gotoh premium machine heads and a hand made bone nut. Pickups are Radio Shop Pickups ‘52 set which gives that classic fifties tele quack! The bridge is made by Callaham and features compensated brass saddles for perfect intonation across all strings. Other cool details include slotted screws throughout, a ‘52 serial number neck plate, a round string tree, heavily knurled domed knobs again made by Callaham, and one of my lacquered bakelite guards which are also painstakingly made and aged in house and feature rounded edges and grain lines like you find on the originals. Weight is 7lbs, very comfortable to play and sound beautiful!
