The best Gretsch Guitars to have ever been built came from the hands of Masterbuilder Stephen Stern. This Gretsch Custom Shop G6130-CS Roundup is more proof of that. There are some extremely cool details to appreciate on this guitar so check out all the pics!
One of the coolest touches is that a Western-Style studded belt was deconstructed and built into this guitar. The side of the instrument is inlaid all the way around with the strap of the belt while the engraved belt-buckle has been fit to the tailpiece. Add in the Branded 'G' and you have the perfect outfit.
The pickups are a set of Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Pickups which are some of the finest sounding Dynasonic Style Pickups you'll ever hear. This guitar sounds amazing, especially clean. The pickups have that sweet top end that is never brash or harsh. 3 Distinct sounds are produced in all three positions letting you know they are doing their job well. Perfectly tapering controls allow you to easily dial in your tone.
The neck sports the Stock Gretsch C Profile. It is made from Mahogany and then topped with a Brazilian Rosewood Fingerboard. This tonewood is exceptionally expensive these days and it's becoming rarer by the build! Not only is the fingerboard itself gorgeous, it has some of the slickest inlays you'll ever see! To complete the Western motif, we have cacti and steer-head fretboard inlays.
