Fender Master Built "Custom Telecaster" Esquire - Owned by Stephen Bruton - Built by Chris Fleming
~From an interview Stephen did with Fretboard Journal -
He grabs a Chris Fleming-built Fender Custom Shop Esquire, plugs it in and exclaims, “I don’t know what Chris Fleming’s doing, but this kills me. It’s not thin; that’s not a thin-sounding instrument. That’s an Esquire that can take the paint off the walls.” ~
This thing is majorly resonant!! One of the most alive and responsive T style guitars you can imagine playing - it rings out true and loud.. Really a special guitar! A large part of the just wild sustain and resonance it has is due to the fact that Chris Fleming built this guitar and its neck without a truss rod - this neck is top of the line, rock hard maple and is still nice and perfectly straight. Not having the truss rod really adds a lot to the tone and resonance
*Dig the "Custom Telecaster" decal on the headstock - this guitar is routed so it can also be setup as a full-on Telecaster configuration if desired
Owned and played by the Texas music legend; Stephen Bruton.
