Overview:

The Epiphone Riviera was released as a semi-hollowbody thinline in 1962. The design shared much with the Epiphone Sheraton, especially as the Sheraton evolved throughout the '60s. The Riviera, for example, was introduced with mini-humbuckers while the Sheraton original had New York pickups. Epiphone has reissued a number of import Rivieras in recent years.

Unique to this Year: Optional vibrato tailpiece introduced.
